Heritage Group Journal No.148, Winter 2021/22

The latest Journal is heading your way – indeed, if you’ve opted to receive it digitally, check your inbox now!

For those who were unable to make the 2021 AGM there’s a chance to read the Chairman’s Report from Glenn, as well as an introduction to the new Committee Members. We then go back to 1929 thanks to the reproduction of an article from that January’s issue of Meccano Magazine. It reports on the Kerr Stuart 4415’s Welsh Highland trials, as well as giving its readers an informative description on how diesel technology works.

Elsewhere, Fred Howes recalls his early days with the PW way team and reports on the various ways in which the Heritage waggon fleet was used in the late-60s as the line was re-built through to Dduallt; and there are memories of a 1968 railtour from Derby to Porthmadog.

Finally, do remember to let the Editor know if you would like to receive your Journal digitally in future – their are plenty of heritage projects the money saved on printing costs could be re-directed too…
