Welsh Highland Railway (Caernarfon) is the title agreed to run in parallel with WHR (Porthmadog), as of the start of the 1998 season, for the FR's operation and marketing of the northern end of the Welsh Highland. The Welsh title Rheilffordd Eryri (RhE) is also in use for the same operation, but was not part of the agreement on titles with WHR(P), whose operation is also marketed as Rheilffordd Ucheldir Cymru, and RhE appears to be intended to cover the entire rebuilt line. The title WHR(C) will cease to be used on reopening to Porthmadog, when the agreement states that the complete railway will be known simply as the Welsh Highland Railway.
