Welsh Highland Railway (Porthmadog) has been the name adopted by the group at Gelert's Farm during ther period of the rebuild of the original line

Over the past 5 decades, the group has changed names twice before. Originally known as the 64 company, fom the year it was first registered (but active before then), until 1998 when by agreement it became known as the Welsh Highland Railway (Porthmadog), as part of the promotion of the restoration of the line from Caernarfon to Porthmadog.

Over the next few weeks, references on this wiki will be changing from WHR(P) to WHHR
