Waggon 21 - Boston Lodge - 15th October 2005 (Kim Winter)

Long, iron, slab waggon, as restored by HLF team. These were not conversions of slate waggons, but new built for their purpose. Two dozen iron slab waggons, including 21 (see The Spooner Album, p38) and 24, were built at Boston Lodge in 1859. They were rated for a load of 4 tons.
