A Leeds based architect and volunteer, who also ran the Railway's lorry fleet (>?<) designed a structure to link the offices with the former goods shed - what is now Spooners cafe and offices above.

He also owned a number of locomotives

Eddie died, after a long illness, in 1976, and a brief obituary appeared on page 2 of FR Magazine 75.
