Bronllwyd

This Hudswell Clarke 0-6-0 well tank was built in 1930 for contracting work, and was purchased by the Penrhyn Quarries in 1935. After a fairly short career there, which ended when its boiler was donated to Quarry Hunslet Pamela, the chassis of Bronllwyd was acquired by Alan Bloom for restoration and use at Bressingham in Norfolk, where the loco now operates. The original cab has not been restored, and the bright red livery is quite different from the sombre Penrhyn black. Bronllwyd was one of the visitors at the May 1999 FR Gala.
