Quarry Hunslet 780 of 1902. Rescued from the Australia Level on Dinorwic. Was on static display at Boston Lodge during the Hunslet 100 Gala 1993 as she was in store at Boston Lodge at that period. Also displayed at Boston Lodge in 1994 shortly before returning to steam.
Alice visited the WHR(C) on 19-20 September 1998 for the first Enthusiasts' Weekend. The loco was based at Leighton Buzzard for its first ten years of operation in preservation, following which it moved to Rheilffordd Llyn Tegid (Bala Lake Railway), where it has been repainted in black.
Alice visited the Welsh Highland Railway (Porthmadog) for its Narrow Gauge & Industrial Gala, 5-7 May 2007, where it hauled demonstration trains of slate wagons as well as passenger trains during the three day event. A return was scheduled on 3-5 May 2008 for the the "Hunslet: Generations" gala.
