The River Glaslyn (Afon Glaslyn in Welsh) is a river in North Wales. Whilst not of great significance in terms of its length (about 16 miles), it is Gwynedd's primary river, and has greatly influenced the landscape in which it flows.
The Afon Glaslyn estuary is the area bisected by the building of the Cob. It was [William Alexander Madocks|Madocks] intention to reclaim the area for development. However, finance ran out, and with his death, the project was never completed.
