Along with many other railways, the FR has in the past operated during the Xmas/New Year period.
Heavy snowfalls on this day made the whole area around the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways quite treacherous to negotiate - except by train! Here are some photographs of the line and surrounding scenery under the white blanket.
